Our clinic heavily emphasizes the Metabolic Approach to Cancer treatment where we make use of substances that can modify a cancer's preferred energy production pathways. We use supplements and dietary changes to bypass aerobic glycolysis (the Warburg effect) and emphasize standard mitochondrial respiration and Krebs cycle activity.

As mentioned, our Naturopaths also utilize oxidative alternative cancer treatment options.

Our main oxidative cancer treatment is IV Vitamin C that generates hydrogen peroxide and other reactive oxygen species that can damage cancer cells because of an inherent inability to metabolize these species.

IV Vitamin C pairs nicely with oral Artemesinin and is spaced away from other oral or IV anti-oxidant treatments as anti-oxidants can negate the oxidative effects generated from high dose IV Vitamin C. 

IV Vitamin C is a common recommendation for many cancers.

In breast cancer, a 2011 study reported that IV Vitamin C administration resulted in a significant reduction of complaints caused by the cancer and chemo or radiotherapy, in particular - nausea, loss of appetite, fatigue, depression, sleep disorders, dizziness and bleeding tendency.

Patients with Stage IIa to IIIb breast cancer were given 7.5g of IV Vitamin C in this study which is a dose our Naturopathic doctors can easily provide in a small infusion at our clinic.

Your initial Naturopathic Cancer consultation at our Edmonton clinic will be up to 60 minutes and is usually with Dr. Muradov. You'll discuss your past medical history, previous scan and labs and treatments.

At the end of your first visit Dr. Muradov will give you your starting natural cancer treatment protocol.

You will also discuss relevant IV Therapies that can be used in your specific cancer.  

Protocols and recommendations are researched not to interact with standard treatments.

For patients undergoing standard treatments our recommendations often reduce side effects and can improve efficacy of many common chemotherapies. 

For patients that choose not to pursue standard treatments or that have finished their cancer treatments our Naturopaths have many preventative and life prolonging treatments available - both oral and IV.
